A Quickie Guide on setting up a Media Streaming service for Windows 7
Since I came in quite a bit late due to OT at the office, and the talks were winding down for the day’s Open Mic Session, I’m attaching the slide deck of what I was supposed to present today.
The topic covers on a quick way of making your own Media Streaming service at home (or even away from home) with Windows 7.
The gist of the set-up involves creating/connecting to the Home Group, then sharing files from the “Server” (or file storage PC) then using another computer at home connected to the same Home Group as the client that will access the files from the server.
Another method is through the internet, if in case the user’s away from home. Though in the Philippines, with the slow bandwidth offered, it’s not too feasible to use. But at least the home network will suffice.
