PHIWUG Event Policies
Thank you for your interest in attending the events organized by the Philippine Windows Users Group (PHIWUG). We are encouraging everyone to adhere to our event policies for an enjoyable and hassle-free event experience with us.
Confirmation and Cancellation
The Clicktoattend.com / Microsoft Group Events confirmation e-mail does not serve as attendance confirmation, and that the only attendance confirmation that will be honoured will be sent by secretary@phiwug.org two days before the event.
Those who received the confirmation from secretary@phiwug.org can cancel their registration until 12 noon on the day before the event. Any cancellations done after 12 noon before the event day will not be honoured and will be possible candidates for the PHIWUG Blacklist.
Check-in Policies
To avoid inconveniences, we are requesting you to check-in 30 minutes to one hour before the event.
For fast check-in we are encouraging everyone to present the attendance confirmation and prepare to present a valid ID when requested.
If the event was announced as for Professionals only, for Students only or vice versa, we will be requiring you to present a proof of status. For events exclusive for students, we will be requiring you to present at least your School ID. For professionals we will be requiring you to present a Company ID or if self-employed / free-lancer we will be requiring you to present a business card indicating the nature of work and contact details.
Attendance and Blacklisting
The basis for attendance that PHIWUG will honour would be the EVALUATION FORMS (not the attendance sheet signed in the morning). Attendees who fail to fill up the evaluation forms are considered absent and shall be part of the PHIWUG blacklist.
The evaluation forms shall only be available from 3PM on the event day. This means that attendees who signed up in the morning and fail to sit through at least till 3PM are considered absent.
Certificates of Attendance
Attendees who did not fill up the evaluation forms cannot be issued a certificate of attendance. We will make it a part of the PHIWUG evaluation form a checkbox indicating if the attendees need a certificate of attendance for this event, and also the preferred delivery method (email or paper).
We apologize if these measures seem strict for some. However, we in PHIWUG find ourselves compelled to enforce them to ensure that more people will have the opportunity to attend our events, and that Microsoft maximizes its investments that it provided for us to conduct these events. Therefore, in the spirit of community and courtesy, we ask our attendees to bear with us in implementing these measures. Thank you.
