Windows Server admins may want to look at this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=a45059af-47a8-4c96-afe3-93dab7b5b658

Overview

AD LDS is a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) directory service that provides flexible support for directory-enabled applications, without the dependencies that are required for Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS). AD LDS provides much of the same functionality as AD DS, but it does not require the deployment of domains or domain controllers. In environments where AD DS exists, AD LDS can use AD DS for the authentication of Windows security principals. You can run multiple instances of AD LDS concurrently on a single computer, and have an independently managed schema for each AD LDS instance.

As stated in my previous post, Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 is available in 32bit and 64bit versions. In this post I will show the step-by-step installation of Ofiice 2010. The installer is about 684MB in file size. After the download is complete locate and launch the file named, "en_office_professional_plus_2010_beta_x86_x16-19227.exe" (in my case I've installed the 32bit version).

Tick the check box to accept the license terms then click the "Continue" button to continue.

One thing I noticed is that the installer allows me to choose whether to remove or keep my previous version of Microsoft Office.

Navigate through the tabs for your installation options

You may choose the location of MS Office 2010 installation files.

The User Information tab allows you to type in your information prior to the installation.

Click the close button and go to the programs menu.

Microsoft Office 2010 (Beta) are highlighted in the program list.

Once you've launch one of the application you will be prompted to key in the product which you have obtained from the download page.

Initially Windows 7 RTM will not let you upgrade your Windows 7 RC installation directly. However I found a simple work around from http://www.howtogeek.com.
